Shipup is a mission-critical tool for online retailers, offering best-in-class post-purchase experience to millions of end customers. We’re looking for a third Product Manager to drive investment into new product capabilities unlocking revenue generation for our target customers.

Product at Shipup:
- We have a small product team, which means you'll need to work autonomously, take ownership of your responsibilities, and proactively launch initiatives to enhance team performance.
- The product team is central to the company, playing a crucial role in ensuring smooth collaboration across all departments. Building consensus around our product direction will be key to our overall success.
- Discovery is vital. Our product is complex, serving diverse personas, so deeply understanding our users and identifying new opportunities will be essential.
Context
We want to tackle ambitious changes in our product in the next year, building innovative capabilities that further differentiate our value proposition and position our Product as best-in-class and most easy-to-use in the market.
We're looking to hire a Product Manager to lead a newly formed Squad focused on one of our most innovative value propositions: driving revenue for online retailers during the delivery phase.
This Squad will operate like a startup within the startup — a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where you'll need a strong product mindset, a ship-to-learn approach, and the ability to iterate quickly to uncover the best solutions.
On our side, we’ll provide everything you need to succeed. You'll be working in a fully staffed Squad alongside a engineering manager, Full Stack Engineers, a Product Designer, and a Product Marketing Manager.
What you'll do
- Prioritize and communicate clear product roadmaps.
Craft and execute product initiatives that align with Shipup’s mission and business goals
Define and clearly communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders (including C-level), ensuring alignment and driving strategic goals, by explaining the story/rationale behind the choices, compellingly.
- Ensure product quality meets our standards of excellence.
You will work hand in hand with your Tech lead to define and execute on your squad’s priorities, making sure projects stay on schedule.
You will write comprehensive product specifications, and own the QA process.
You will make sure to keep an agile approach allowing you to frequently release impactful changes to customers
You will define the right proxies to evaluate the success and impact of an initiative in the short and long term, and monitor them carefully once in production.
- Collaborate closely with other Product functions
You will work hand in hand with Product Designers to ensure the solution you are delivering is a good fit for the problem at hand. You will also work closely with the Product Marketing Manager to build an effective release plan that guarantees its adoption.
- Collaborate closely with other teams
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including our Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales team, to develop and launch new product features and improvements that deliver value to Shipup and drive company growth.
You will mobilize and influence other departments to achieve your team’s objectives.
- Define the Product strategy of your Squad
Assess the success of the Product strategy of your Product scope, and to adapt it if needed.
You will think proactively about competitors’ insights to inform product strategy. You will use all insights to inform product strategy and identify sustainable competitive advantages for your use case.

You’ll join a team of nineteen (12 technical and 6 product people) led by Dounia (our Product Director) and Loïc (VP Engineering). The team is currently divided into 3 impact squads each focused on one pillar of our value proposition for online retailers.

Engineering team: 8 advanced/senior developers, 2 EM (soon 3), 2 Staff Engineers, and 1 VP Engineering
Product team: 1 PM (soon 3), 2 Product Designers, 1 PMM, and 1 Product Director (your manager)
Project management: SCRUM sprints of 2 weeks (daily, planning, retro, grooming…)
Our Product Stack
What you have...
- You bring 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position, and prior experience in the e-commerce industry would be a bonus.
- You are comfortable with both Discovery and Delivery
You are used to conducting user research, collecting and structuring insights.
You rely on a data driven approach to validate if an opportunity is worth prioritizing.
You write structured and easy to understand Product specifications on complex features
- You have a ship to learn approach
You have an experience as an entrepreneur or you worked several years as a First PM.
You have a strong agile mindset.
You know what you need to learn and you find the right scope of release to make sure to gather the right insists and leverage them for your future releases.
- You are impact and data driven
You are able to evaluate and track the success and impact of an initiative in the short and long term by choosing and tracking the right KPIs.
You follow-up autonomously and continuously on the outcome of your initiatives to make sure they reach their impact.
You’re comfortable leveraging BI tools autonomously(we use Metabase) to autonomously query product usage data and build visualizations and dashboards that enable you to track the impact of what your team delivers
- You have a considered, detailed approach to communication

- English and French skills
You master both languages so you can interview our clients in France and around the world.
