In 2022: Shipup announced that Global Blue had acquired a majority stake in the company while staying an independent structure.
Job description
This critical role will have a significant impact on Shipup's growth.
As a key member of our leadership team, you'll report directly to our CEO and be part of the ExCom to influence the direction of Shipup's company strategy.
Your main main mission will be to create and nurture demand in our SMB market through new opportunities and expansion, in collaboration with our Sales Director and our Head of Ops.
As you succeed, you'll also develop innovative engagement and renewal marketing strategies with our customer success and product marketing teams
Here are some of the key responsibilities :
- Chief Market Officer: stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously seeking innovative ways to enhance our overall market positioning. Refine target personas, validate messaging, and identify optimal marketing channels to evangelise the problem we're solving, not just the product.
- Customer acquisition: develop and execute effective demand generation and nurturing strategies across the most effective channels including the website, digital advertising, email, webinars, events and social media.
- Innovation & testing: identify and launch demand gen experimentations with the growth manager to help Shipup become the number one destination for post-purchase solutions.
- Team leadership: lead a high-performing team of four people, providing mentorship, guidance, and support.
- Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with sales and operations to optimise lead quality, demand volume, and nurturing for maximum conversion.
- Performance analysis: collaborate with the marketing performance manager to forecast, measure, analyse, and report, with a focus on the impact of demand activities on the sales pipeline, revenue, sales cycle length, and customer acquisition cost (CAC) efficiency.
- Budget management: Develop and manage the budget effectively to improve spending efficiency and drive expansionary revenue.

What you have...
For this role, we believe success will rely on the ability to balance between strategic thinking and operational topics, a talent for driving demand generation, and strong leadership skills to offer a vision and inspire an international team.
You could be a good fit if
- You have strong experience(s) in B2B SaaS marketing for demand generation.
- You are business and results-oriented with a proven track record of driving pipeline growth and revenue.
- You have experience in leading marketing teams, with the ability to build, inspire, and lead a high-performing team.
- You have experience with refining market positioning, creating personas and customer segmentation, validating messaging, identifying optimal marketing channels.
- You have a multi-channel approach mindset with a proven expertise in creating and executing multi-touch, multi-channel marketing programs (website, digital advertising, email, webinars, events, social media).
- You excel in cross-functional collaboration with proven ability to align and drive common initiatives, specifically with the sales and operations teams.
- You know how to juggle between strategic and operational levels
- You possess an experimentation mindset in which you understand the importance of testing and scaling what works. You can prioritise tests and find ways to implement them quickly.
