Job description
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Shipup, you will work closely with the Sales Team to build a qualified pipeline for the business by identifying target prospects through email, cold calls, and social outreach. You will be what drives success for our sales team.
Your goal will be to provide the sales team with qualified opportunities. The BDR role is designed to provide individuals with hands-on experience in a fast-paced start-up environment where things are constantly changing and evolving.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective outbound opportunities.
- Generate sales-ready meetings and opportunities for the AE using cold calling, email, and social outreach.
- Sit in on prospective client calls to understand and uncover customer needs and business problems to effectively communicate how Shipup can solve them.
- Collaborate with the team by bringing innovative lead generation ideas.
- Use and maintain our CRM system according to our standards; provide metrics on leads
- Work in collaboration with the Account Executive team to improve on a daily basis
- Provide feedback and improve the process where you deem it necessary
